Lieutenant Col. Wangson Sylvien, commander of Company G, 1st Battalion, 168th Aviation Regiment addresses the crowd at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church January 3, 2019, during a deployment sendoff ceremony. Approximately 60 Co. G, 1-168th Soldiers are deploying to Afghanistan for approximately 10 months in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel to provide rotary wing aviation medical evacuation support using UH-60L Black Hawk helicopters.
