Lt. Col. Stephen Peterson, deputy district commander for the Savannah District, conducted a site visit at to the Donalsonville Airport debris management site in Seminole County in southwest Georgia Jan. 2, 2019. During his visit, he met with Corps responders and received a boots-on-the-ground update of how the debris removal mission in southwestern Georgia in response to Hurricane Michael was progressing. Also during his visit, Peterson presented several employees with awards and thanked them for giving up their time to respond to this disaster. (USACE photo by George Stringham)
