U.S. Army Sgt. Jonathan Orellana, a motor transport operator with the 24th Composite Truck Company, 191st Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, guides down the load handling system of a transport truck at Mihail Kogălniceanu, Romania, Jan. 4, 2019.

Providing logistical support throughout the Black Sea region promotes mission readiness and allows for effective training of Soldiers participating in Operation Atlantic Resolve.

“Every job is important in the Army and plays a crucial role in our operations,” said Sgt. Bryan Nahas, a motor transport operator with the 24th Composite Truck Company, 191st Combat Sustainment Support Battalion. “Without transportation and logistics, there is no way they could effectively train or fight, which is what makes these missions so important.”

Not only do these missions support Soldiers participating in OAR, they offer important training experiences that they can learn and improve from.

“It’s good training for us, because this is our job, and this is the experience we need so we can help them (other soldiers) get the experience they need with whatever supplies we can give them,” said Nahas.

Atlantic Resolve aims to build readiness, increase interoperability, and enhance combined training through multinational events. Operation Atlantic Resolve is a demonstration of U.S. support to NATO allies and partners.
