A UH-60 Black Hawk drops troops on Forward Operating Base Sharana during a simulated air assault mission. The training was part of 1-227th Aviation Battalion, Task Force Attack's winter ‘Spur Ride’; a test of a soldier's technical and tactical skills, leadership abilities and teamwork for the opportunity to join "The Order of the Spur." The ‘Spur Ride’ tradition dates back to the beginning of the U.S. Cavalry.
