Pallares (right), attached to Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Detachment Misawa, and originally from El Paso, Texas, helps an employee at the Bikou-en Children's Home load a couch onto a truck for disposal during a "CPO 365" community service project. Ultimately, Chief petty officers and first class petty officers transported and disposed of more than 5,300 pounds of bulk refuse from the facility, as well as repairing the facility's perimeter fence and painting about 3,000 square feet of the building's interior walls.
