Dr. Alec Christensen, a forensic anthropologist with the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command, inspects recovered evidence during a recovery operation in the Savannakhet province of Lao People's Democratic Republic, May 27, 2011. Two multi-service military and civilian recovery teams from the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command excavated a helicopter crash site and aircraft crash site searching for 11 Americans that remain unaccounted-for from the Vietnam War. The approximately 35-day deployment marked the 118th Joint Field Activity in Laos.
