Lance Cpl. Sarah Lowe, a linguist with 2nd Radio Battalion and a native of Rensselaerville, N.Y., is a co-founder of the non-profit corporation Hayla International. During her yearlong deployment to Helmand province, Lowe saw a need for education and teamed up with fellow linguist, Lance. Cpl. Lauren Kohls to start the corporation.
