A U.S. Soldier of the 4th Aviation Regiment pulls security during Combined Resolve XI at the U.S. Army’s Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels, Germany, Dec. 1, 2018. Exercise Combined Resolve is a U.S. Army Europe exercise series held twice a year in southeastern Germany involving U.S. Army, allied and partner nation military forces. Combined Resolve XI is the second exercise in the series for 2018 and is scheduled to take place in two phases from Nov. 26 – Dec. 14, 2018 and Jan. 13-25, 2019. The goal of the exercise is to assess and increase the readiness and lethality of the U.S. Army rotational forces, and provide an additional opportunity to continue to improve interoperability among allies and partners.
