Sailors from Naval Air Station Whidbey Island's Aviation Survival Training Center (ASTC) and students from Everett Community College test a small submarine June 13. The survival training center was helping an engineering class from the college test the ballast of a small submarine in the survival pool. The submarine will be used in a national college competition in Maryland later this summer.
