Supporting the drawdown is accomplished many different ways. Soldiers from 1st Combined Arms Battalion, 194th Armor, park a Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle after it was inspected at Camp Virginia, Kuwait, Dec. 15, 2011. The reposturing of U.S. forces and equipment is being accomplished through a monumental collaborative team effort consisting of Third Army, USF-I, the government of Kuwait, and contributions by many other units and civilians. Third Army/ARCENT has benefited from its long-standing partnership with Kuwait in order to facilitate the reposturing of forces and equipment from Kuwait. Third Army facilitated the redeployment, repositioning and retrograde of over 50,000 personnel and more than 28,000 pieces of rolling stock and over 800,000 non-rolling items.
