Aircraft rescue firefighters and Navy corpsmen assess a victim being pulled out of a vehicle during a simulated training exercise during Ryukyu Warrior 12 on Ie Shima Dec. 6. Aircraft rescue firefighters are trained in basic first aid and are required to attend a refresher course monthly. Ryukyu Warrior is an annual training exercise conducted on Ie Shima with units as part of 1st Marine Aircraft Wing. The aircraft rescue firefighters and corpsmen are with Marine Wing Support Squadron 172, Marine Wing Support Group 17, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
