CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti - Expeditionary Medical Facility (EMF) Senior Medical Officer Navy Cdr. Marc D. Simmons (left), EMF Officer in Charge, Navy Cdr. Edward Owens (center) and EMF Senior Enlisted Leader Hospital Corpsman Senior Chief Anthony A. Royal, break ground on a new medical facility on base, Dec. 21, 2018. The new 30,000 square-foot, single-story structure will provide immediate life-saving measures and preventative care including advanced trauma management and emergency medical treatment capabilities to more than 5000 forward-deployed service members and base personnel.
