U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Domingo Chavez and Staff Sgt. Richard DeArmas, both assigned to recovery team at Detachment Four, Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command, take a moment to fold a POW/MIA flag on the recovery scene. The two non-commissioned officers are leaders of a specialized team sent to excavate the site of an aircraft crash, in search of remains or other evidence that could identify servicemen missing since their plane crashed in the Laotian mountains during the Vietnam war. The ultimate mission of JPAC, and all the agencies involved, is to achieve the fullest possible accounting of service members still listed as missing from our nation's past conflicts.
