U.S. Marines with Golf Company, 2nd Battalion, 23 Marine Regiment, currently assigned to 3rd Marine Division, and Soldiers with the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, 41st Infantry Regiment, sit in on an after action brief exercise Forest Light 19.1 in Hijyudai Maneuver Area, Japan, Dec. 18, 2018. The Marines with 2/23 are part of the Marine Forces Reserve. While activated they will conduct multiple bilateral training exercises in various countries to improve their combat readiness and strengthen international relationships.
