Michael Collier (left) a biomedical engineer intern for the 711th Human Performance Wing at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, works with his supervisor Ben Steinhauer in testing equipment used by Airmen across the Air Force in their operational duties. Collier is on the autism spectrum and was hired through a special initiative via Air Force Materiel Command’s Workforce Recruitment Program, which offers opportunities for college students who have disabilities.
