Sector San Juan watchanders, the Coast Guard Cutter Joseph Tezanos along with multiple Coast Guard and CBP aircrews, working in coordination with Joint Task Force - East in support of Operation Full Court Press, engaged in a 10-hour pursuit that led to the interdiction of a drug laden go-fast vessel and the apprehension of three suspected smugglers Dec. 11, 1018, approximately 95 nautical miles northeast of Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Joseph Tezanos offloaded the 2,000 pounds of cocaine in Saint Thomas Dec. 14, 2018, where the seized contraband and detainees were transferred to DEA Specia Agents.
