Lt. Col. Stephen Peterson, deputy district commander for the Savannah District, conducts a site visit at the Southwest Georgia Emergency Field Office Dec. 13, 2018. During his visit, he met with Corps responders and received a boots-on-the-ground update of how the debris removal mission in Southwestern Georgia in response to Hurricane Michael is progressing. Stephenson also presented awards to several members for their time and dedication. Many of the deployees have been working this disaster for 30-45 days.
