Sergeant 1st Class Erik Kingsley, makes his way up the aisle with his family, following a ceremony in which he was awarded the U.S. Army Soldier’s Medal at Kennedy Hall, on the Special Warfare Center and School (SWCS) campus, Dec. 13, 2018. Sergeant 1st Class Kingsley was awarded the medal for rescuing an unconcious man from a vehicle engulfed in flames; the Soldier’s Medal is awarded to any member of the Armed Forces who distinguishes themselves by heroism not involving actual conflict with an enemy.
