The U.S. Army Garrison Italy provided logistical support to hundreds of paratroopers from “First Rock,” 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, in a rapid deployment exercise Nov. 13 and 14. The exercise named Falcon Amarante is one in a planned series of training events to rapidly deploy the brigade from Italy to anywhere in Europe and Africa Central Command regions.
The entire garrison from Soldiers to Italian workforce supported capabilities to help the brigade focus on the actual mission.
