U.S. Marines attached to Special Purpose Marine Ground Air Task Force stand in ranks next to members of the Guatemalan special forces in anticipation of a joint flag raising event known as morning colors on Nov. 24. The event is conducted each morning in Puerto Barrios to pay tribute to the U.S. and Guatemalan country flags.
SPMAGTF is participating in Amphibious-Southern Partnership Station 2012, an annual deployment sent to the U.S. Southern Command's area of responsibility.
