A 7-ton medium tactical vehicle replacement, belonging to Combat Logistics Regiment 3, sits on the pier here Nov. 28 where the Tortuga has been docked. Several 7-tons, tractor rubber-tire articulated steer multipurpose vehicles, water pumps and equipment were staged on the pier where the Tortuga has been docked to be used by Marines from CLR-3 and 9th Engineer Support Battalion who will be working with the Royal Thai Air Force to conduct water removal operations at the Don Muang Airfield near Bangkok. U.S. forces working in conjunction with the III Marine Expeditionary Force Flood Relief Command Element, as well as interagency partners, continue to support and assist the Royal Government of Thailand through combined operations throughout the region to provide civic assistance and flood relief to the citizens of Thailand.
