Students from the Afghan Border Police non-commissioned officer course at Training Site Kostel, Spin Boldak, Afghanistan, listen intently to lectures on human and women's rights during one of their training sessions here. As part of the 160,000-strong Afghan National Security Forces that will take over when the American military withdraws from Afghanistan, part of their duties will not only to be to secure their borders and prevent terrorist attacks, but also to promote human rights and gender equality.
