NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Nov. 30, 2018) Machinist’s Mate (Nuclear) 1st Class Samuel Putt, from Enola, Pennsylvania, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford’s (CVN 78) reactor department, is pinned to his current rank during a promotion ceremony in the ship’s forecastle. More than 125 Ford Sailors advanced from the Fall 2018 Navy-wide advancement exam.
