NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Nov. 29, 2018) Personnel Specialist 3rd Class Christian Hernandez, from Bakersfield, California, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford’s (CVN 78) administration department, receives his frocking letter from Lt. Cmdr. Melissa Chope, Ford’s administration officer, during a promotion ceremony in the ship’s weapons handling area. More than 125 Ford Sailors advanced from the Fall 2018 Navy-wide advancement exam.
