PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 28, 2018) - In a show of strong partnership, the USS Somerset (LPD 25), USS Wayne E Meyer (DDG 108), Royal Navy frigate, HMS Montrose (F236) and two Chilean frigates CNS Prat (FF 07) and CNS Condell (FF 06), transit in formation during a multi-nation photo exercise (PHOTOEX). Each nation will be participating in the Chilean Navy’s EXPONAVAL 2018 in Valparaiso, Chile in December. In addition, this year also marks the 200th Anniversary of the Chilean Navy’s establishment. USS Somerset and USS Wayne E. Meyer are part of LCG-1, which is deployed in support of the Enduring Promise Initiative to reaffirm U.S. Southern Command's longstanding commitment to the nations of the Western Hemisphere.
