Recruits with Alpha Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, sprint between cones during a physical training session at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Nov. 21. The recruits performed multiple exercises upon completion of a 400-meter dash. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Alpha Company is scheduled to graduate Feb. 1.
