    181122-N-KT659-1080 U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Nov. 22, 2018) Aviation Structural Mechanic Airman Eric Berg, right, and Aviation Structural Mechanic 2nd Class James Wright, assigned to the “Grey Knights” of Patrol Squadron (VP) 46, sand the tail of a P-3C Orion anti-submarine warfare patrol aircraft in preparation to apply a new tail decal. VP-46 is currently deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet and U.S. 7th Fleet areas of operations in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. While in this region, VP-46 is supporting naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
