Marcia Gardner, a lead administrative support assistant in the Emergency Medicine Department, successfully served as the timekeeper for 38 government service employees, prepared work schedule changes, reviewed timecards in Standard Labor Data Collection and Distribution Application and tracked Defense Medical Human Resources System Internet data for 136 active duty and contract personnel. She successfully accepted the challenge of serving as travel coordinator for one of the command’s largest departments. She continually mentored both active duty and civilian personnel within the command and in the community. As the lead administrative support assistant in emergency medicine, she has been instrumental in the delivery of quality patient care to more than 6,000 patients per month. In support of her fellow staff members, Gardner personally donates many hours of leave every year to civilian staff.
