A mud-caked racer waits for fellow racers at the finish line of the Kabul Satellite Turkey Chase 10K race, Nov. 27. Despite the damp, chilly conditions, 106 runners from various nations participated in the race, which was held at the Kabul International Airport. "What started out as a small effort has grown to over a hundred people," said Air Force Lt. Col. Eduardo Monarez, the event's organizer and Bethesda, Md., native.
