Sailors assigned to Ohio-class guided-missile submarine USS Florida (SSGN 728) meet with Navy advocates while on a tour of the Governor’s Mansion during a namesake visit to the city of Tallahassee. Navy events such as the Florida namesake visit are interactive ways to share what the Navy does for our country with a number of different communities. Florida is one of four guided-missile submarines in the U.S Navy fleet and one of two SSGNs stationed at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Georgia.
