Army Lt. Chas. V. Burton, photographic officer of the 42nd Division at the division headquarters in Ahrweiler, Germany, January 10, 1919. The 42nd Division, known as the Rainbow Division for its inclusion of various National Guard units from across the United States, served as an occupation force following the armistice that ended World War I.
