An Airman from the 62nd Airlift Wing loads a M1167 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle fitted with a fires directional center onto the back of a C-17 Globemaster, Nov. 15, 2018, at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. The mission was the first HIMARS (M-142 High Mobility Army Rocket System) Rapid Air Infiltration to land on Yakima Training Center's new landing strip, Selah Airstrip, and part of its opening ceremony.
The HIRAIN is a HIMARS package, which consists of two HIMARS and a Fires Directional Center, that is placed on a C-17 Globemaster and used as a quick response force in the defense of U.S. and allied troops. (U.S. Army video by Staff Sgt. Jacob Kohrs, 17th FA BDE PAO)
