Allison Ferrone, a signal support systems specialist with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, explains the Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station to Chief of Staff of the Army Gen. Raymond Odierno during a tour of equipment at White Sands Missile Range, N.M., Nov. 18. The tour was intended to showcase some of the equipment being tested and evaluated during the Network Integration Evaluation. The NIE is testing the ability to send large amounts of data faster with the least amount of equipment.
