A 35th Fighter Wing maintainer de-ices an F-16 Fighting Falcon during exercise RED FLAG-Alaska 19-1 at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, Oct. 12, 2018. Multiple aircraft underwent this process in which liquid solutions are sprayed onto an aircraft during the winter to both defrost and prevent future precipitation from freezing.
