Marines with Light Armored Reconnaissance Company, Battalion Landing Team (BLT) 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (11th MEU), fire a light armored vehicle’s 25mm Bushmaster chain gun during a predeployment training exercise at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Calif., Nov. 10, 2018. The BLT is participating in combined arms training. Combined arms is a highly effective military technique where you assault the enemy on multiple fronts, such as using close-air support, indirect fire from artillery and mortars, wheeled assets, and ground forces to close with and destroy enemy units.
