Cpl. Devin Pierre, a Washington, D.C. native, received the Hard Charger of the Day award, Nov. 6, 2018. Pierre is highly motivated and a dynamic leader whose courage of conviction and strong moral character fosters high morale and responsibility among Marines. While aboard the USS Iwo Jima, he has set the standard in the eyes of his peers and seniors in multiple ways. He is consistently spending time in the gym working on physical fitness and challenging Marines of all ranks to improve. He has also been putting in extra time and effort to increase his knowledge and proficiency as the Chief Dispatcher on top of his normal MOS.
