181106-N-TP832-1416 OKINAWA, Japan (Nov. 6, 2018) Steelworker Constructionman Zachary Vitale, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3, shovels displaced sand from a picnic pavilion that was rendered unusable onboard White Beach Naval Facility in Okinawa, Japan, as a result of a recent typhoon that impacted the island. NMCB-3 is forward deployed throughout the Indo-Pacific region and United States ready to support major combat operations, theater security, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.
