SAIPAN, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands – Army Reserve Soldiers with the 797th Engineer Company (Vertical), 9th Mission Support Command, learn how to setup a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) tent at the Koblerville Fire Station in Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Nov. 7. The tents will be used as temporary shelters for Saipan residents affected by Super Typhoon Yutu, a Category 5 storm, which devastated the island about two weeks ago. Service members from Joint Region Marianas and other units from within Indo-Pacific Command assigned to Task Force-West are providing Department of Defense support to the CNMI’s civil and local officials as part of the FEMA-supported Typhoon Yutu recovery efforts.
