Tim Stanton, a San Gabriel, Calif., native and former Marine, shows off his first Marine Corps birthday meal – C-Ration pound cake – at the 50th anniversary celebration for Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 364 aboard Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton, Calif., Nov. 10. The HMM-364 Purple Foxes delivered the meal to Stanton in Vietnam in 1970, and Stanton returned it to the squadron “ready room” during the anniversary celebration.
