The soldiers in the help desk can assist the Italian soldiers day and night with any CIS requirements. 1 German/Netherlands Corps' Communication and Information Systems Battalion is responsible for the communication between the Headquarters and its brigades. RACE 1 provides the CIS link between 1GNC as LCC and the Italian Ariete Brigade for Exercise Trident Juncture.
With around 50,000 personnel participating in Trident Juncture 2018, it is one of the largest NATO exercises in recent years. Around 250 aircraft, 65 vessels and more than 10,000 vehicles are involved in the exercise in Norway.
