Spanish Army General Luis Cortes, the Task Force Besmaya commander, greets U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Charles Albertson, the senior enlisted leader of Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR), upon his arrival to the Besmaya Range Complex, Iraq, Nov. 1, 2018. Command Sgt. Maj. Albertson visited Besmaya to observe the training of the Iraqi Security Forces (ISF). Together, CJTF-OIR and the Iraqi Security Forces will develop a sustainable and inclusive ISF that can secure its sovereign borders, protect the population, support a return to normalcy across the country and ensure the lasting defeat of ISIS.
