Governor Rick Snyder acknowledges the audience of veterans and others who played a role in making the South East Michigan Veterans Home a reality Oct. 29 on the grounds where it is to be built in Chesterfield Township. The veterans home is located on the site of the former Sebille Manor Housing Facility, which was constructed in the 1950s to house enlisted soldiers before closing in 2006.
