Petty Officer 3rd Class Michael Douglas Colon, U.S. Coast Guard, presents his grandmother with an American Flag that flew over Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Ga., during a retirement ceremony for his father, Master Chief Culinary Specialist Fernando Colon-Aldecoa. The base is home to six of the Ohio-class ballistic-missile submarines that make up the most survivable leg of the nuclear missile triad.
