Army Reserve Sgt. 1st Class Dave Mercado, Force Protection NCO, 85th Support Command, fields questions from new brigade commanders about physical security and force protection and readiness. Leaders from the 85th SPT CMD and First Army met during a New Command Teams Orientation brief on Oct. 13-14, 2018 at the command headquarters in Arlington Heights, Illinois. The briefing provided insight to active component leaders, who have Army Reserve battalions assigned to them, to understand reserve processes and systems within the multi-component partnership between the 85th SPT CMD and First Army. The 85th SPT CMD’s (logistical and training support) battalions, located across the continental United States, provide training to Reserve and Guard forces ahead of mobilizations and deployments world-wide.
