Courtesy Photo from Joseph Miechle, Museum Educator with the Hampton Roads Naval Museum. Mr. Jerome S. Brown Jr. (left) and Mr. James Frederick (right) visited the HRNM recently (10/25/2018). Mr. Brown served aboard the USS America between 1971 and 1973 as an Aviation Storekeeper, 2nd Class. Mr. Frederick served in the US Army between 1964-1967 and served in Vietnam with Fifth Corps as a signalman. We were delighted to have them visit our gallery. The original builders model of the USS America is behind the two veterans and is currently on display in the HRNM gallery.
