U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 2nd General Support Aviation Battalion, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division help Bulgarian and Romanian Soldiers transport a simulated casualty into a Sikorsky HH-60 Blackhawk during a training exercise at Novo Selo Training Range, Bulgaria, Oct. 22, 2018. The training was in preparation for Thracian Sword 18, an ongoing multinational training exercise between U.S. and foreign partners and allies in support of North Atlantic Treaty Organization operations. Pursuing interoperability by engaging with the militaries of other nations gives our Soldiers the opportunity to learn new skills that further strengthen the bond needed to deter aggression in the region.
