U.S. Army Soldiers with the 2nd General Support Aviation Battalion, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, participate in the opening ceremony for Thracian Sword 18 alongside North Atlantic Treaty Organization partners and allies at Novo Selo Training Range, Bulgaria, Oct. 22, 2018. Thracian Sword 18 is an international military training exercise between the allied and partner countries of Bulgaria, the U.S., Turkey, Greece, Serbia, Romania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, and Albania. Pursuing interoperability by engaging with the militaries of other nations gives our Soldiers the opportunity to learn new skills that further strengthen the bond needed to deter aggression in the region.
