Construction supplies and equipment for use by Seabees from both the Philippine navy and United States Navy disembark from the Filipino landing craft 293. Seabees will be working on Engineering Civic Action Projects (ENCAP) for residents on the island of Basilan. The ENCAP will make improvements to a local elementary school as part of the 13th annual Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) exercise series. CARAT is an annual series of bilateral maritime training exercises between the United States and six Southeast Asia nations designed to build relationships and enhance the operational readiness of the participating forces.
