Master Gunnery Sgt. Kevin D. Basso pitches the ball to an opposing hitter during the 2011 East Coast Regional Softball Tournament hosted by Cherry Point, Aug. 22. Basso played baseball during high school and like most high school players who enlist had to make a difficult change to softball upon hitting the fleet. "This game is tough to learn," said Basso. "You have to learn the game, and you will never stop learning either. From adjusting your swing to learning strategy of the game, it's about finding weakness in yourself and learning to overcome that weakness."
