On Nov. 12, 2009, Adm. Stavridis met with top military leaders in Ljubljana in Slovenia to discuss NATO strategic concepts concerning the Slovenia. He spoke with Slovenian Minister of Defence, Dr. Ljubica Jelusic, and the Director General of Directorate of Defense Policy, Brigadier David Humar. He began the visit with an Office Call at the Ministry of Defence Building. On Nov. 13, 2009, the admiral was welcomed with an honor guard ceremony at the Joint Forces Command Headquarters in Vrhinka. There he was briefed on the operations of the Slovenia armed forces.
